Founded in Geneva in 1948 by André Canonica, Canonica is the company at the root of SWISSCANONICA Group, active in the airport catering and retail sector.
The quality of its service has resulted in the company managing numerous points of sale at Geneva airport.
Since 2013, the company has extended its core business to Basel airport, Lugano Airport but also in Dubai in the UAE.
In 2002, Vincent Canonica, founder’s son, took over the family business with the objective of extending its business lines beyond the Swiss borders and diversifying its activities: Food production, Chocolate Brand, Hotel Management, Laundry services in the airport sector.
Today, the Group employs close to 300 staff that runs 20 F&B outlets in airports, 4 chocolate boutiques, 10 food trucks, a hotel, two laundries and three food production laboratories.
In 2018, 70 years later, SWISSCANONICA extended its successful business to the USA, at San Francisco International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport.
